It's Topshop.

I have a confession to make. I'm in love. With Topshop nail varnishes. I'm obsessed by them. They appear in my dreams, I just can't get them out of my head. Unfortunately I only own 12 of these beauties but one can always hope to get more.

Topshop just seem to get it right in every aspect; they have one of the largest range of colours I know, you barely need 2 coats and it stays on for like 6 days with too much chip damage. That to me right there is a winning combination my friends, and although the price tag is not the cheapest out there, it's not breaking the bank at £5 and the value for money is amazing. OK. spiel over.

Naked, Heart of Gold, Treasure, Without a Clue

Razzmatazz, Parma Violet, Big Smoke, Eyes of Steel

Windy City, Mermaid, Hidden Treasure, Phenomena

I have to admit that my favourites within the bunch are Hidden Treasure, Big Smoke and Naked purely because Hidden Treasure is so pretty and the other 2 are so wearable.

Nail Time.

I'm not what I call a 'girly girl' but I think on occasion it's nice to acknowledge that side of myself so every now and again I think I'll do a kind of beauty thingy posty type.

So to kick off this new kind of post I thought I would write about my favourite beauty item which is nail varnishes, in fact I think that I'm ever so slightly obsessed with them. In total I have in excess of 75 as well as 24 nail art pens, which I know that to some people that's not a lot at all, but to me, a 16 year old girl who doesn't have a job and lives off £30 a month of her very kind parents, I think it's more than enough but I can't seem to resist buying them. They call to me whenever I'm in Boots; I walk past the stands and the bright colours draw me in and I know that there is no way out, I'll be buying one before I walk out of the shop.

That, just up there, is a picture of all my nail varnishes and to me it doesn't look like that much, but trust me I'm telling the truth about how much I have. I've accumulated them over many years (actually about 3 years), and I don't think you can ever stop collecting nail varnishes as there's all ways a new colour that you think you haven't got until you arrive back at home and realise that it's identical to one you already have and you've just wasted £5 (sob).

I find that there are certain nail varnishes that I tend to want to wear more often and I find myself preventing my hand reaching automatically for the same ones in case they run out and I have to buy replacements. Below are my favourites, apart from my favourites from Topshop, which I'm going to do a separate post on due to the fact that they are the ULTIMATE nail varnish ever created by man or beast.

From Left to Right: Rimmel Tangy Tangerine, Rimmel Coralicious, Barry M Rasberry, Rimmel Black Cherries, Rimmel Sky High, Rimmel Misty Jade.

Right that's me done on then nail varnish front for a bit. Enjoy, hopefully.

Television.

Recently, I've been noticing that I spend more and more time sat on the sofa watching television. This realisation turned into a feeling of horror as I tried to tot up the true amount of time I waste watching useless programmes in the past week; the hours were well into the double figures. However I came to the conclusion that this may not be something to be THAT ashamed of.

Now I know that watching too much television is supposedly 'corrupting the youth of today, yadda yadda yadda' but honestly, if I choose to spend my time watching crap on the TV, let me do so in peace. I really don't care that I don't watch conventional educational programmes, as the way I see it I do enough learning and work in school, so watching truly bad programmes is my release. I'm even not ashamed to say on occasion when there's been nothing else to watch I've flicked over to Disney Channel, which has no educational value as far as I can see.

I have also deduced that the programmes I do watch have some lessons, so I thought I might share the knowledge I have gained from these programmes:

1) Real Housewives Of Orange County: Never talk 'smack' about someone to the papers and then go and do what your complaining about yourself. Never date what the Americans call a 'Deadbeat Dad' because it will come back and bite you in the bum. Never decide to sit someone down and tell them the traits of their personality that you don't like, it won't go well. Go to lunch everyday and drink a lot of wine. (The comedic value of this programme exceeds any comedy show I've ever seen, the angry faces alone are hilarious.)

2) Jersey Shore: You can actually go out in public, show your... lady parts, get paid for it and not be considered a stripper. Plus, a lucrative business idea: combine a Gym, Sunbed Shop and a laundromat all under one roof, set it up in New Jersey and the money will come flowing in.

3) Geordie Shore: Friends with Benefits never works, don't try it. It's acceptable to have a fight in public and then pretend it never even happened. A good idea after the fight is to get engaged.

4) Dexter: It's OK to be a serial killer, people will still like you.

5) Keeping Up With The Kardashians: If you stay tuned to the end of the episode, you will learn a valuable life lesson like 'I now realise that my mom was just trying to help me, and I feel really bad about taking advantage of her'.

6) America's Next Top Model: People in the modelling industry try to convince you that personality is important to be a model, but it's not. If you don't know how to smise, don't even bother trying out for the show, you won't be able to win.

Unsurences.

First of all, I'm pretty sure I just made up the title of this first post but you know what, my prediction is no-one is ACTUALLY going to read this blog due to the shear number of blogs that have suddenly sprung up in the past couple of years, so the way I see it, I can do whatever the hell I want on here (within reason of course, if I was a crazy sonofabitch I'd be off doing crazy sonofabitch things not writing on some blog that only my mother is seriously going to read).

I guess that's a little introduction to the blog. A load of things swirling around this ol' noggin of mine that I will ultimately write down in the hope of one day being able to look back when I'm 90 (assuming that the internet is still 'alive' at that point) and think 'wow, was I really that bored? What a waste of my youth.' - I'm pretty sure that I'll still look back and think that even with this blog as a reference due to my being a very cynical person.

P.S. I don't know what font to use, I went with something called 'Trebuchet' which to me sounds like if you translated it from French would be 'very good butcher' but there was a number of different options like this, this, this, this, this, and this. just some give me advice?
